PROJECT HOPE RECAP VIDEO
On August 24 & 25, through the One Hope Network, Fairfield partnered with churches, ministries and organizations to extend the love and joy of Jesus to our local schools and communities, all for God's glory! Watch the recap video below from the perspective of those who participated with Fairfield.
PROJECT HOPE 2024
School Work Day & Back-to-School Giveaway
Project Hope is a ministry of One Hope, a local Christian nonprofit which brings churches from across the county together to achieve a common goal: be the hands and feet of Jesus in our local communities! Fairfield partners with One Hope; we invite you to be a part of this extraordinary service and outreach event, where you can be a part of a movement that is serving our local communities in Christ's Name!
There are two events over the course of the Project Hope weekend: the School Work Day on Saturday, and the Back-to-School Giveaway on Sunday. We are participating in both this year, and encourage you to volunteer for one or both! Please read through the information below for both events.
We are also collecting a special offering through July 18 to raise funds for backpacks and other school supplies to be distributed at the Back-to-School giveaway — more information at the bottom of this page.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 24
One of the great ways we can show our community the church is for them is to serve in the community. One Hope partners churches to local schools, and Fairfield is paired with Willamette High School! For this work day, we will complete various tasks at the high school to help the custodial team ready the buildings and grounds for the new school year. These tasks can include pulling weeds, spreading bark, and painting.

SUNDAY, AUGUST 25
There is a great need in our community for school supplies for low income families. At the Kids' Fair, families receive free new supplies: a backpack, pair of shoes, and various other supplies as well. Our church's role in the Kids' Fair is to prepare and serve free hot dogs, drinks, and snacks to the families coming through the event! Whether you have experience with food service or not, we would be grateful for your service on this team.

PROJECT HOPE BACKPACK OFFERING
|
In addition to serving at the Project Hope events, Fairfield is also collecting a special offering through July 18 to provide backpacks and other school supplies for distribution to low-income families at the Back-to-School Giveaway.
We encourage you to thoughtfully consider supplementing your tithe with a contribution toward this goal, keeping in mind that $25 provides a single student with the complete package of free school supplies at the event. Contributions can be made at Fairfield (checks should be marked "Project Hope Backpack Offering"), or give directly online here: my.simplegive.com/App/Form/52ba9734-dce2-4cf7-a315-fe42447d1237 |

OTHER WAYS TO SERVE
WE NEED CHIP DONATIONS!
Fairfield is responsible for providing food and drink during the Back-To-School Giveaway on Sunday. You can help us shave down the overall cost by donating a box or two of single-serve chips. You can pick up boxes of variety-pack single serve chips at Costco and most all grocery stores. Drop them off at the Info Booth in the church lobby. WE NEED PRAYER WARRIORS!
Whether you can or can't directly be involved, we're asking all prayer warriors to support this mission work in prayer, leading up to the event and during. For info on how to pray and other ways to be involved, download and/or print our flyer below (front/back, three to a page). You can pass them out to church members, friends and family and expand the team!
