WHAT is KidsTown?
KidsTown of Fairfield Baptist Church is a place for kids in grades 1 to 5 to come and meet friends while learning about Jesus and the awesome love of God. Volunteers are trained to provide a safe and inclusive environment where they can care for kids while their grown-ups are enjoying the 9:00am Sunday School bible study or the 10:45 worship service in the sanctuary. 
WHO is in KidsTown?
Fairfield Baptist Church has members of all ages who follow Jesus and are generous with their time and talents. KidsTown provides a way to share wisdom, the love of Jesus, and enjoyment of children with the families of Lane County. All of the staff and adult volunteers are background checked and receive training regularly. Sometimes high school youth will spend time in KidsTown to help mentor kids and support the teachers under the guidance of trained adult leadership. Elementary kids in grades 1-5 can participate in KidsTown activities. Other ages are encouraged to explore the preschool and youth areas of the church. WHERE is KidsTown?
KidsTown is located in the north building at Fairfield, through the glass doors across from the playground. There is a main room on the East side as you enter the breezeway for kids to gather together after checking in. Sunday School - 9:00am - check in is at the counter in KidsTown Worship Service - 10:45am - check in at the counter in KidsTown or the Front Lobby of the Main Building (Jennings Room) |
WHEN is KidsTown?
During the 9:00 classes and 10:45 service on Sunday mornings. Occasionally, when there's a 5th Sunday in a month, grades 1-5 join their families for Youth Sunday in the sanctuary during the 10:45am worship service. HOW do kids get into KidsTown?
Please bring your children to one of our volunteers at a check-in station so we can give them a name tag with a code on it that matches the code you will receive each Sunday. We’ll also have your cell phone number in our records if we need to call you during church. 🔑 If the glass doors are unlocked, someone can check you in at KidsTown before you head over to 9:00am Sunday School in the main building. 🔒 If the glass doors are locked, please come to the main entrance of the church building to check in. Someone will escort your child(ren) to their classroom from there. If the weather is nice, we’ll go out to the playground as a group during a part of second service. If not, we have lots of indoor games and activities to keep kids having fun and playing safely together. 
WHY KidsTown at Fairfield Baptist Church?
Loving God and loving others are the two greatest commandments. At KidsTown we want to nurture both by teaching from the bible and loving the kids the way Jesus loves us. We give kids a reason to keep coming back when we connect with them, support their faith, and make it fun to go to church! Church is where God’s people can find each other, worship The Father together, and grow in Christ. Now more than ever we understand the need to cover our kids in prayer and show them the way to the Truth. |
