FALL "ON MISSION" INITIATIVES

There are a number of opportunities to serve our community and share the hope and love of Jesus. Talk and pray with your family, friend group, or growth group and consider how you will participate. You may be able to participate in one, a few, or even all!

Below are listed the various "initiatives" available to participate in. However you decide to get involved, it is a beautiful way to point people to Jesus!

OCC, a ministry of Samaritan's Purse, provides a Christmas gift box and a message of hope in Jesus, to a child in another part of the world. We have a display table with supplies available to grab in the church lobby. You can also virtually "pack" a shoebox online (select the option to "pack online"): samaritanspurse.org/occ

CHRISTMAS STOCKINGS
DONATIONS ACCEPTED OCTOBER 6 - DECEMBER 1
POINT-PERSON: NITA NICKELL

We believe no one is too lost for God to find and redeem! This is at the core of the stocking ministry, sharing the love and care of Jesus. This ministry provides stockings filled with basic needs (toothbrushes, deodorant, shampoo, tissues, etc.) and gospel literature for hundreds of inmates in two facilities in the Pacific Northwest.

Get details on needed items and bring purchased items to donate at the Donation Bin in the church lobby. You can also download/print the pdf below explaining donation specifics. Learn more about the Prison Ministry.

ANGEL TREE
BEGINS NOVEMBER 17 | RETURN GIFTS BY DECEMBER 15
POINT-PERSON: NITA NICKELL

Angel Tree is a ministry of Prison Fellowship. Coming in November a Christmas tree will be set up in the church lobby with tags people can take. Each tag represents a gift for a child with a loved one in prison. We get to step in the middle by bringing the love and light of Jesus and providing a Christmas gift to that child on behalf the incarcerated loved one. There will be specific information that will explain the details of what to do when you take a Christmas tree tag.

ADOPTING WILLAMETTE HIGH SCHOOL
POINT-PEOPLE: RYAN PRIEB & BECKY DENHAM

One of our initiatives and desires at Fairfield is to adopt Willamette High School, creating a trusted partnership where Fairfield can share the love, hope and generosity of Jesus. There have already been opportunities to serve the high school, and more are coming! Through developing a partnership we hope to be able to care, serve, and provide for certain needs of the high school. Below are a couple opportunities already in the works!

CLASS ROOM SNACKS
A number of teachers have shared that the class room snacks they keep on hand have expired or gone bad. We will be taking donations with specific asks from teachers and faculty so we can help provide for them in this simple way.
